One of the biggest social networks LinkedIn has been running for a while back when it comes to mobile apps. Admittedly, the apps from other platforms are far from perfect, but the LinkedIn app was seriously outdated and slow. Today, there is an update to the Android Application of the business social network has become available that brings the application straight to 2013.

The new application will not so much new features, but is focused on the new look. That does not mean happy that the changes are purely aesthetic, the new layout and font selection ensure that the application is a lot more useful than before. The structure is logical, so you can find what you are looking for easily.

Via a drop down on the side you can go to other parts of the application. So can you to your profile, you can view jobs and you can add people you know. This drop down is also dynamic: the ‘Updates’ button changes to show various status updates from your connections. The menu is also to match with its own shortcuts. For example you can place a shortcut in the menu to a company or group.

For Dutch and Flemish there is more good news: the application has been translated into Dutch. In the future, further improvements are expected in the LinkedIn application, including possibilities to customize the app to taste and better search capabilities. We also expect LinkedIn’s newly purchased Pulse news service will use to improve the content. LinkedIn It seems that LinkedIn instead of just being a (business) social network will focus on news. Increasingly To do this, the company has been somewhat in the app and on the website, but it is expected that the opportunities are expanded with the acquisition of Pulse.

The new application you can install on your Android device by clicking one of the links below, or by scanning the barcode scanner. Just like Facebook and Twitter LinkedIn must have the means to make an excellent tablet application but like those two companies has no trouble done well. LinkedIn here (yet)
